The Pioneer of Go-Go Funk Music Chuck Brown Has Died

The Godfather of Go-Go music, Chuck Brown has died at the age of 75.  With the Soul Searchers, Brown had a big hit “Bustin’ Loose” in 1979. Funk fans would start each Chuck Brown concert with a chant, “Wind me up, Chuck.” From there they would be treated to guitar riffs, driving percussion and other rhythm instruments that left them dancing to the beat.
